Pacific Farmer Organisations (PFO) is launching a regional media campaign, “No Voice, No Money”, to amplify the voices of Pacific family farmers and call for greater access to climate finance in the lead-up to Pre-COP31, which will be held in Nadi, Fiji, from 5–8 October 2026. Pre-COP31, hosted in partnership with Fiji, Tuvalu, Australia and Pacific partners, will provide an important platform to advance Pacific priorities ahead of global climate negotiations at COP31.
The campaign highlights a simple but powerful message:
If farmers do not have a voice in climate decisions, they risk being left out of the climate finance needed to build resilient food systems and adapt to a changing climate.
Across the Pacific, family farmers are already responding to climate impacts through innovative and traditional farming practices, yet access to climate finance remains limited. Through the “No Voice, No Money” campaign, PFO aims to place farmers at the centre of conversations on climate action, food security and investment.
Over the coming weeks, PFO will roll out a series of coordinated communications activities, including social media stories, videos, farmer testimonials, campaign graphics, banners and promotional materials, all carrying one shared message:
No Voice, No Money
The campaign will feature stories from farmers, farmer organisations, women and youth leaders from across the Pacific, showcasing practical solutions and demonstrating why climate finance must reach those working directly on the land and in communities.
PFO Executive Director, Kyle Stice, said that climate policies and financing mechanisms must reflect the realities faced by farmers.
“Pacific farmers are already adapting, innovating and contributing to food security across our region. Their knowledge, experiences and priorities must be part of climate discussions, and climate finance must reach the communities and organisations working on the ground.”
The campaign also aligns with broader Pacific efforts to ensure that climate action is inclusive, people-centred and reflective of community priorities. Fiji has called for a whole-of-society approach to Pre-COP31 preparations, emphasising the importance of including communities, women, youth and grassroots voices in climate dialogue.
As Pre-COP31 approaches, PFO will work with member organisations, partners and supporters across the region to amplify the campaign and ensure that the voices of family farmers are heard.
Pacific farmers are not only beneficiaries of climate action—they are leaders, innovators and key partners in building resilient food systems.
