In this episode, Green Pillar visits the Tutu Rural Training Center in Taveuni and witness their first-ever Farmer’s Forum,’ featuring industry experts like Mr. Sant Kumar from Bula Agro, Mr. Jimi Abana from the Ministry of Agriculture, Mr. K Kandiannan from ITEC Expert (Spices), Mr. Kaitu Erasito from The Nature’s Way Cooperative and Mr. Richard from Ben’s Trading.
Each of the experts spoke on the different topics relating to their field, followed by group discussions from the students on their understanding of the topics. Join Green Pillars for Part 1 of the Forum in this episode.
The 22 part television series is in response to a growing public interest in gardening and farming, and is funded by the Farmers’ Organizations for Africa, Caribbean and Pacific- FO4ACP Programme, a joint partnership between the European Union, Africa Caribbean and Pacific (ACP), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and Pacific Island Farmers Organisation Network (PIFON).
