Our farmer organisation members are empowering communities all year round in the Pacific; at the height of the global Covid-19 pandemic the Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprises & Development developed a Focus Group in support of local food systems.
Located on the west coast of Fiji’s main island of Viti Levu, the Foundation through its Focus Group studied an average weekly grocery shopping list and shared knowledge on how communities can substitute store bought items for locally grown produce.
The Green Pillars series in partnership with Pacific Farmer Organisations was funded by the Farmers’ Organizations for Africa, Caribbean and Pacific- fo4acp programme.
