Green Pillars | Nature’s Way Cooperative | #fo4acp

Farmer organisations are delivering highly targeted research and extension services to its members through a partnership approach.

In 2009 Nature’s Way Cooperative begun the implementation of the Fiji Red Papaya Project with the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research following the need to assist farmers and exporter members in addressing a number of the research problems affecting the supply of produce for export.

Today the Cooperative’s quarantine treatment business is running like a well-oiled machine thanks to its partnership approach with the Ministry of Agriculture Fiji, Biosecurity Authority of Fiji – BAF, Pacific Farmer Organisations and its member farmers and exporters.

The Green Pillars series in partnership with Pacific Farmer Organisations was funded by the Farmers’ Organizations for Africa, Caribbean and Pacific- fo4acp programme.
