SIDS Forum, August 2021 – Digital

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) convened a high-level forum of leaders from Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in a major push forward to help its Members regain their momentum toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), badly affected by the global pandemic, triple-dimensional malnutrition and increasingly extreme natural hazards related with climate change.

PIFON executive director, Kyle Stice engaged in technical discussions where he emphasised the role of farmer organisations and their importance in supporting farmers to mitigate existing challenges and threats “amplified by climate change and COVID-19” :
