Orchids are one of the oldest flowers in existence.

In the rolling countryside of Nasau, a sugar cane farm has been elegantly transformed into a picturesque orchid nursery by the late Donald Burness and his wife Aileen.

The 9 acre property evokes memories of an era gone by in intimate surroundings of a proud heritage; grandson and Manager of South Sea Orchids, Stephen Henry takes us on the Home & Garden Tour of this stunning property.

Aileen and Stephen are now leading the charge to educate and empower Orchid Growers around the region on the best growing and harvesting practices.

The 22 part television series is in response to a growing public interest in gardening and farming, and is funded by the Farmers’ Organizations for Africa, Caribbean and Pacific- FO4ACP Programme, a joint partnership between the European Union, Africa Caribbean and Pacific (ACP), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and Pacific Island Farmers Organisation Network (PIFON).
