In May this year, Fiji Airways  announced 758 employees had been permanently stood down, following the downturn caused by COVID-19 and  revenues in sharp decline.

Solo Kaumaitotoya, who served the airlines for over 28 years was among those who received the bad news; Green Pillars get a behind-the-scenes look at Solo’s life as a former Fiji Airways Cabin Crew member and how he turned his luck around.

The 22 part television series is in response to a growing public interest in gardening and farming, and is funded by the Farmers’ Organizations for Africa, Caribbean and Pacific- FO4ACP Programme, a joint partnership between the European Union, Africa Caribbean and Pacific (ACP), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and Pacific Island Farmers Organisation Network (PIFON).
